1 Mix components thoroughly and adjust pH to 6.0. Autoclave under a N2-CO2 (4:1, v/v) gas mixture. After cooling, add the following solutions anaerobically and aseptically (autoclaved or *filter-sterilized and store under a N2 atmosphere):

Iron(III) citrate solution #

1 Mix 2.4 g iron(III) citrate and 90 ml distilled water, and boil until dissolved. Cool to an ambient temperature and adjust pH to 6.0 with 10 N NaOH solution. Fill up to 100 ml with distilled water.
