# 548: BENNETT'S AGAR ## Main sol. 548 1 g Beef extract 10 g Glucose 2 g N-Z amine (enzymatic digest of casein) 1 g Yeast extract 20 g Agar 1000 ml Distilled water 1. Adjust pH to 7.3 with NaOH. 2. Modified Bennett's agar can also be used. In it, glucose is replaced by glycerol (10.0 g) and N-Z amine by Bacto casein (2.0 g, Difco).
