1. Autoclave solutions A and B separately and mix when cool. The medium may be solidified by adding 20 g/l agar to solution A. Solutions A and B are then cooled to 50°C, mixed and plates poured immediately.
2. Final pH of the medium is 9.5.

5	g	Peptone	
5	g	Yeast extract	
1	g	K2HPO4	
0.2	g	MgSO4 x 7 H2O	
500	ml	Distilled water	
10	g	Agar, for solid medium	


## Solution B

20	g	Na2CO3	
80	g	NaCl	
500	ml	Distilled water
