# 104d: MALEDIVIBACTER MEDIUM ## Main sol. 104d 5 g Trypticase peptone (BD BBL) 5 g Meat peptone (pepsin-digested) 10 g Yeast extract 40 ml **Salt solution** 60 g NaCl 5 g MgSO4 x 7 H2O 0.5 ml Sodium resazurin (0.1% w/v) 6 g Betaine x H2O 0.5 g L-Cysteine HCl x H2O 960 ml Distilled water 1. Dissolve ingredients (except betaine and cysteine), boil medium for 1 min, then cool to room temperature under 100% N2 gas atmosphere. Adjust the pH to 7.2. Thereafter, dispense under 100% N2 gas atmosphere into anoxic Hungate-type tubes or serum vials and autoclave. Add betaine and cysteine from sterile, anoxic stock solutions prepared under 100% N2.
