1637: METHANOMETHYLOPHILUS MEDIUM

Modifications: Supplement medium with 5% (v/v) clarified rumen fluid, 1.00 ml/l Wolin's vitamin solution (see medium 120), and 0.14 g/l 2-mercaptoethanesulfonate (coenzyme M) added from sterile anoxic stock solutions. The coenzyme M and vitamin solutions should be sterilized by filtration. Adjust the pH of the complete medium to 7.2.
